Students will work to craft 5-minute comedy sets. This is geared towards early stage comedians, first-time comics, and people who are interested in trying comedy. Learn how to find and write comedy material, the basics of comedy performance, and general training regarding stand up comedy.
Length: 6-week course, ending with a graduation show.

Students will work to craft 15-minute comedy sets. This is geared towards comedians who are looking to move from local/regional shows into professional work. Learn how to organize and write longer comedy sets, how to network with bookers/comics, and how to create and distribute comedy materials, press kits, and marketing.
Length: 8-week course, ending with a showcase

This course will work on developing your screenplay idea, utilizing industry standards of formatting, and learn how to create a pitch deck for your script; treatment, show bible, etc. You will end the class with the how-to knowledge of presenting a pitch for your show, building a portfolio for your work, and how to evolve ideas into marketable productions. The first five weeks will be focused on developing and writing your script. The last 3 weeks will be creating a treatment, building the pitch deck, and working with your portfolio.
