Tulsa Comedy Academy is a brand new resource for comedy training, networking, and development. Our mission is to bring in experienced, talented instructors and make them available for Tulsans interested in comedy on any level.
We work with students on every level of experience to craft, write, sharpen, and hone their comedic abilities. We’ll work on developing unique voices, strong stage presence, and how to move from open mics to booked shows. Whether you’re looking to move to the next step in your career, try out comedy for the first time, or just work on your shyness and social skills - we’ve got a place for you!
These courses will be led by experienced and professional writers, who will work with you on developing your idea, learning how to put it to paper in script form, utilizing industry standard formatting, and creating a pitch deck for your TV show or feature film (including show bible, treatment, script, and other various documents). You will end the class with the how-to knowledge of getting a script put together, how to present it, a portfolio of your work, and how to evolve ideas into marketable and saleable productions.
